El Pueblo, of Tortuguero

 Caribbean twon called  Tortuguero it´s time to talk a little  about it.It is a small town in the middle of the tropical jungle, with the Tortuguero River and the canals on one side, and on the other the Caribbean beach where thousands of sea turtles come to nest every years.The town is located in the North Caribbean, Limon province, in what is called Barra del Tortuguero . It is qyuite remote and there are roads leading to it, so you have to take a boat or plane to get here.

Something curious about the town is that there are no cars, so people travel by biker or on foo, and to carry cargo or collect garbage they use quads. to go from the town to other places located on the banks of the river, the transport is by water.

The inhabitants of Tortuguero are of diverse origin and as a consequence an interesting cultural mix has been created. On the one hand there are the Ticos, mostly mestizo, on the other the descendants of of the Afro-caribbean population that emigrated here ( mainly from Jamaica , on the other immigrants from Nicaragua, and finally some immigrants from other countries in the world ( Americans, Australians, Germans,Spanish, South A merican, etc ) 

It is clear that the  climate and the environmet influence its inhabitants, and the heat of the Caribbean has its influence on the people  who live here.They are open, expresive, relaxed, enjoyable peopl, and they like to get together, spend time with their neighbors, partying, dancing and loud music.
