San Francisco Tortuguero  located 5 minutes from the Cerro Tortuguero Trail and La Bocana Tortuguero, we are a community that was formed approximately in the year 2000.We have a Scchool, Storage Center, Light, Internet, Mobile Telephony.We have Lodgings, Convenience  Stores, Souvenirs, Ice Cream Parlor, Sodas, Bars and Restaurants.

The community of San Francisco of Tortuguero is located right at the foot of Cerro Tortuguero, so its populations is vital in the processes of conservation of natural and cultural resources present in the area.The San Francisco of Tortuguero Integral Devellopment Association, as such, is made up  of people who dedicate a space of their time to communal work for the benefit of their population.

This association becomes the catalyst for economic resources to insert the community. all this, in a dynamic that allows naturral resources to benefit through conservation. The tourist operation in Cerro Tortuguero, through the use permit with the San Francisco  Integral Development Association, is ggoverned by the Cerro Tortuguero Visitor Flow Management Tool( SINAC,2016) which establishes all the parameters to continue for sustainable operation.
